Corporate Employees
Through our corporate employee engagement programs, we have mobilized more than 75,000 employees. Each employee has contributed hundreds of hours of data collection, which has enabled our scientists to create scientific publications, impact policy change, build community-based solutions, and help to solve some of the world’s most pressing environmental issues

I am so thankful for the experiences I have gained during this Earthwatch expedition. It helped me to get a deeper understanding of the current changes and damages going on in the world. As a result, I have decided to connect with my likeminded colleagues and strive to create a better, more sustainable working environment.

Teachers
Through our education programs, such as Teach Earth and Project Kindle, we have empowered over 5,500 teachers. The reach of these programs is multiplied as teachers return to their classrooms where they will each impact between 300 and 1,000 students over the course of their careers. These opportunities transform the way students learn in the classroom, allowing teachers to change hearts, minds, and career opportunities.

Too often teachers sit in professional development classes and hear about how they should engage students with hands-on, problem-solving experiences. On my Earthwatch expedition, I got to experience first-hand what engaging learning truly is, and this will make me a better teacher.

Students
More and more young people are speaking out and eager for the opportunity to learn and take action to combat the greatest environmental challenges the world has faced. However, many schools lack the funding and expertise necessary to foster this interest and empower those students to pursue STEM studies and careers. Through our student programs, Earthwatch has given more than 5,000 students the opportunity to engage with science and transform their career paths.
.
The most positive impact my Girls in Science experience fellowship had on me was making me more confident as a young female scientist and giving me a taste of what real research is like. I loved it and am more certain about my future path now.
